Registration

Please be advised that pre-registrations are no longer available online as we have relocated onsite to prepare for the Conference. Onsite registrations will be available. 

For all queries, including new registration queries, please ask the staff at the registration desk when you arrive at the Conference. The registration desk will be located on the Ground Floor Foyer of the Melbourne Convention Centre and will be operating at the following times: 

Monday 3 May: 1100 – 1900 
Tuesday 4 May: 0730 – 1800 
Wednesday 5 May: 0730 – 1730 
Thursday 6 May: 0730 – 1600

Participation is open to all persons interested in the field of Ageing. To register, please complete the online registration form. Online registration is strongly encouraged.

Alternatively, click here to download the hard-copy registration form and post, email or fax to the Conference Managers with payment. Please note that registrations will only be processed once payment is received. Payments made by cheque will incur a $10.00 cheque processing fee and will only be accepted up until 29 March 2010.

Please note that everyone intending to attend the Conference must register, including speakers, chairpersons and delegates. All speakers must register by the early registration cut off date. Please read through the registration information carefully before completing the online form.

Payment of Fees

NOTE:  Registrations will not be processed or confirmed until payment in full is received.

Payment may be made by personal cheque or credit card. MasterCard, Visa, American Express and Diners Card are accepted. Please note all transactions by credit card will appear on your statement as payment to Conference by arinex. Payments made by cheque will incur a $10.00 cheque processing fee and will only be accepted up until 29 March 2010.

Cheques should be made payable to the International Federation on Ageing 10th Global Conference. Your name and full address should be typed or printed clearly on the back of the cheque. Cheque payments from overseas must be a bank cheque in Australian Dollars drawn on an Australian Bank. No other currency will be accepted.

Acknowledgements

Your registration and payment will be acknowledged via email or post with confirmation of your requirements according to your registration form. Your registration will not be processed or confirmed if payment does not accompany your form.

You will not receive any further publications before the conference. Your letter of acknowledgment will include any further advice necessary prior to your arrival at the conference.  At the conference you will receive the final program, the book of published papers/conference documentation and a list of delegates.

Entrance to Conference

Each member of the Conference will receive a name badge on registration.  The badge will be your official pass and must be clearly visible at all times to obtain entry to all sessions and to social functions. The Conference Managers expect appropriate behaviour from attendees and reserves the right to revoke the badge and privileges of anyone behaving in an inappropriate manner.

Insurance

Registration fees do not include insurance of any kind. It is strongly recommended that at the time you register for the conference and book your travel you take out an insurance policy of your choice. The policy should include loss of fees/deposit through cancellation of your participation in the conference, or through cancellation of the conference, loss of international/domestic air fares through cancellation for any reason, loss of tour monies through cancellation for any reason including airline or related services strikes within Australia, failure to utilise tours or pre booked arrangements due to airline delay, Force Majeure or any other reason, medical expenses (including sickness and accident cover), loss or damage to personal property, additional expenses and repatriation should travel arrangements have to be altered. The conference managers cannot take any responsibility for any participant failing to arrange their own insurance. This insurance is to be purchased in your country of origin.

Private Touring/Hospitality Arrangements

Should you have any specialised group requirements for private touring, transportation or hospitality services other than those organised for the official program, please contact the Conference Manager who would be pleased to assist with arrangements.

Private Functions

It is requested that you advise the Conference Managers of any private/corporate functions that might be planned outside of the official program. The Conference Managers would be pleased to assist with arrangements for any of these events.
